Week of March 4th

March 4th- 8th
No school on Wednesday

Reading: SOLs:
 2.12-Write stories, letters, and simple explanations
2.9-read and demonstrate comprehension of nonfiction text
Some friends are not completing their reading assignment on a nightly basis It will be logged the same as last year, and the expectation is that students read 30 minutes. Also, please have them log in two steps and place your signature beside it. On a daily basis, we should have 4 steps. The time may be broken into intervals. PLEASE SIGN READING LOGS NIGHTLY
We are working on animal stories. Last week, comparing two stories. This week, we will work on opinion writing


Math:Sol: 2.7: The student will a) count and compare a collection of pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters whose total value is $2.00 or less; and b) use the cent symbol, dollar symbol $, and decimal point (.) to write a value of money

Wednesday:no school
Thursday: 2 steps, review time for math test
Friday: 2 steps and have a great weekend
