Week of May 22nd-26th

2.8 The student will read and demonstrate comprehension of fictional texts. a) make and confirm predictions. b) relate previous experiences to the main idea. C) ask and answer questions about what is read. d) locate information to answer questions. e) describe characters, setting and important events  in fiction and  poetry. F) identify the problem and solution. g) identify the main idea.  h) summarize stories with beginning, middle and end in the correct sequence.  i) draw conclusions based on the text. J) read and reread familiar stories, poems, and passages with fluency, accuracy, and meaningful expression.
Writing:- It is all about jobs and what that job is the best job to have- persuasive writing
Math: 4th nine weeks
2.18 The student will use data from experiments to predict outcomes when the experiment is repeated. 2.20 TSW identify, create, and extend a variety of patterns
Vocabulary: probability, possible outcome, number of favorable outcomes, total number of possible outcomes, impossible, unlikely,
as likely, equally likely, likely, and certain, patterns, repeating pattern, growing pattern

Probability Test:  Wednesday or Thursday
Social Studies: Resources: Capital, Natural, and Human Resources
Important Dates:
May 29- No School/ Memorial Day
June 14- Field Day
June 15 & 16- 2:20 Dismissal
June 16- LAST DAY OF 2nd GRADE!!
Homework:(subject to change)
Continue to work on ST math

Monday: 2 steps;
Tuesday: 2 steps
Wednesday  2 steps ; Study for Math  test
Thursday: 2 steps
Friday: complete steps for reading for the weekend and have fun with the family
Resources this week:
WE will be switching lunch with third graders on Wed and Thurs. Our new time will be 12:00 instead of 11:05
Monday, May 22nd-  blue-music
Tuesday, May 23rd- Purple- P.E
WED and Thurs.- No resource due to SOLs for 3rd graders
Friday- Stem

Please check your child’s agenda each night and initial or sign by the color he/she earns for the day. Check red folders daily for any updates from the school or work completed
