Homework  10-12-15  thru 10-16-15
High Frequency Words: NO SPELLING WORDS THIS WEEK
SKILLS: ALL SKILLS WILL BE REVIEWED THIS WEEK BEFORE OUR TEST ARE PREDICTING, AUTHOR’S PURPOSE, DRAWING CONCLUSIONS, SETTING, MAKING CONNECTIONS
Stories of the week: COLD READS- Cold reads are stories that they never read to help with skills and comprehension- unit test is Thursday
Science: 2.6 weather- four seasons, precipitation, 4 weather instruments
Math- 2.5 basic addition and subtraction with addition strategies: counters, number line, the brain, dots, counting on….etc. My students are even working on finding multiplication problems that equal a number during math boards. Also, I have introduced equations with parenthesis as well. They are really working hard.
Homework:
Monday:  Read for 20 minutes (AR book)and sign reading log.  Math sheet on basic addition, write your spelling words two times each
Tuesday:  Read for 20 minutes and sign reading log math sheet, write a sentence with 10 of your spelling words
Wednesday:  Read for 20 minutes and sign the reading. math sheet
Thursday:  Read for 20 minutes, Do math activity, study science notes
Friday: Enjoy your weekend!

     Please check your child’s agenda each night and initial or sign by the color he/she earns for the day. Also, be sure to look through the red folder on Thursday to sign graded papers sheet and clean out. Please keep all social studies test and science test for nine weeks test in their social studies or science IN notebook
