We will be having our Unit 5 reading test on this Thursday..

Unit 5  Review :Phonics: short u:ou, schwa sound, ue, long a:ei, eigh, pattern ex; multisyllabic words, plurals –s/-es, consonant +er, endings and suffixes, prefixes un, dis, rSkills/Strategies:  questioning, determining importance, main idea, character, fact and opinion, graphic sources, summarizing

Vocabulary Words: No vocabulary words this week

Math- We will be starting fractions2.3 The student will

a) identify the parts of a set and/or region that represent fractions for halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, eighths, and tenths;

b) write the fractions; and

c) compare the unit fractions for halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, eighths, and tenths.

Science: white tailed deer and butterfly life cycles; erosion and weathering, we will be having a vocabulary quiz on erosion, weathering, adaptation, migration, camouflage, dormancy on Tuesday and an animal adaptation test on Friday.

Chrysler Museum:

We had an awesome time at the museum. Thanks to all of the chaperones that came to help with the field trip.

Spring Fundraiser is still going on. If you would like to contribute, there is still time. The money comes back to CAES. 

Homework

Monday: math sheet, reading log- 20 mins, , study science notes and vocabulary for vocabulary quiz.

Tuesday:  read 20 mins and sign reading log, study science notes, math sheet

Wednesday:  Read for 20 minutes, math sheet, study science notes for test Friday, reading test today

Thursday:  Read for 20 minutes, math sheet,

Friday:  Science test today

Friday: Read a great book
