Reading: SOLS – 2.8h Read and reread familiar texts with fluency, accuracy, and meaningful expression

2.11i Use commas in saluation and closing of a letter

Social Studies: 2.10 The responsibilities of a good citizen: respecting and protecting the rights and property of others; taking part in the voting process when making classroom decisions; describing actions that can improve the school and community

Math: 2.2:  Skip Counting- The student will/count forward by twos, fives, and tens to 120, starting at various multiples of 2, 5, 10; b) count backward by tens 120 chart

Items wanted still: recess balls!- If you can, please let me know that you can help out and send them in by Sept 16^th. Again, thanks. 

Upcoming events:

Sept. 10 – BayPort Credit Union personnel will be on campus for the year’s first Savings Day

Sept. 11 – Patriot Day / We’ll wear red, white, and blue to remember those we lost that day and to honor first responders.

Sept. 12 – School Board meeting (6:00 p.m.)

Sept. 13 – Field trip to the Isle of Wight County Fair for pre-K, 1^st grade, & 2^nd grade

Sept. 21 – Summer T-shirt Day / Let’s celebrate the end of summer by wearing shirts from vacations, family reunions, Busch Gardens, VBS, summer camp, etc. Hawaiian shirts will work, too!

Oct. 1 – BayPort Savings Day

Oct. 2 – Interims come home

Oct. 2 – School pictures for pre-K, K, & 1^st grade

Oct. 3 – School pictures for ECSE/MiMD, 2^nd grade, & 3^rd grade

Oct. 14 – No school: Student-led goal-setting conferences with parents and teachers
