Phonics Story: Two Lunches at the Mill (schwa sound and plural –s,-es)         
Unit 5 Story 2: Going to Town (Strategy: Summarizing; Skill: Character Traits and Feelings)
Target Skills: 1) character, 2) schwa sounds, 3) Plural –s and –es, 4) singular and plural pronouns, t) Oral: Give a demonstration
Spelling Words: sure, upon, behind, word, only (HF) blouses, blouse, place, places, race, races, people, apple, humble, trade, crops- words from the story, not their word study words
Vocabulary Words: crops, trade, humble, edge,  imagined, trembling, roam, fabrics, pleasures
Social Studies: states of matter
Math- inches,  liquid measurements, weight

Monday: reading log- 20 mins , math sheet, write words two times each
Tuesday:  read 20 mins and sign reading log , abc order, math sheet- Spring pictures today
Wednesday:  Read for 20 minutes , math sheet, study for your pretest spelling test
Thursday:  Read for 20 minutes, math sheet,
Friday:  Easter Egg Hunt(outside if it does not rain)
Friday: Read a great book

Please check the papers for the egg hunt and Spring party!!!

Dear Parents,
Our class will have an Easter egg hunt on March 25, 2016 before lunch. We are asking that each child bring in one egg carton with a dozen of plastic eggs inside of it. Please do not place the small treats in the eggs. We will be playing additional games and the students will be winning the prizes from the eggs.  We will need parents to hide the eggs for the class and help monitor this fun activity. Please put your child’s name on his/her egg carton.

Please let me know if you are able to help that morning. The hiding of the eggs and the hunt should last no longer than 45 minutes. Thanks so much for your assistance!
