Week of February 21st


Homework  2/22-2/26
Mrs. Oparaji’s class would like to welcome Lorelai Smith to our class!!!!
Wish List: We are in need of a new electric pencil sharpener. Our class sharpener died. We could also use some rubber bands for the rainbow loom and additional board games- checkers, tic tac toe, etc…. (especially for rainy days)
Phonics Story: Paul Goes to the Ball (a, al, au; silent kn, mb)
Unit 4 Story 4: The Rooster (strategy-questioning; skill-plot)

Spelling and Vocabulary Words: able, early, own, story, thought (HF) chalk, climb, comb, lamb, kneel, knit, knot, sauce, grazing, wedding, brook-,cousin, wedding, grazing, growl, gobbled, feathers, dismay, kernel, brook, banquet
Social Studies: Ancient China and Ancient Egypt- We are going to the Chrysler Museum on Friday
Math- Telling Time- please practice time using IXL math and
www.timemonsters.com

Homework
Monday: Read 20 mins and sign reading log, math sheet, write spelling words two times each, and study China and Egypt notes
Tuesday:  read 20 mins and sign reading log, math sheet, and study notes of Ancient Egypt, ABC order in spelling
Wednesday:  Read for 20 minutes., study In notes in social studies notebook, math sheet, take a practice test for pretest on Thursday, Reread The Rooster for reading test on Thursday due to field trip
Thursday:  Read for 20 minutes. study Ancient Egypt notes, bring a lunch( we will eat lunch when we come back from the field trip)
Friday: Read a great book
