Week of October 13th


High Frequency Words: keep, new, mother, warm, myself.
Spelling words: passing, teaching, wishes, wishing, danger, paint, hatch, hatching, paddle
SKILLS: long a-ai and ay, inflected endings –es, -ing, -s, determing importance, compare and contrast, nouns, descriptive writing
Stories of the week: The Ugly Duckling  and Duck
Science- 2.6- weather types, changes, and patterns of weather- storms, 4 types of precipitation, weather instruments, floods and droughts
Math- 2.5 basic addition and subtraction with strategies: and 2.21- number sentences
Monday:  Read for 20 minutes (AR book)and sign reading log.  Math sheet, study IN  notes for science, write your spelling words 2 times each
Tuesday:  Read for 20 minutes and sign reading log math sheet, and study science In notebook, spelling activity
Early dismissal day at 1:00-Wednesday:  Read for 20 minutes., study Science IN notebook, math sheet( subtraction quiz on Thursday, study spelling words for pretest
Thursday:  Read for 20 minutes, Do math activity , study science notes, reread the story, Duck for reading test
Friday: Enjoy your weekend!

     Please check your child’s agenda each night and initial or sign by the color he/she earns for the day. Also, be sure to look through the red folder on Mondays to sign graded papers sheet and clean out. Please keep all social studies test and science test for nine weeks test in their social studies or science IN notebook
