Well of April 8th-12th

Last week before spring break!!!!
Spring Egg Hunt is this Friday!!!! Please send in all goodies by Wednesday, except the fruit

You may start seeing letters in the agenda from the GREAT acronym above. If you see a G from Great is means your child demonstrated growth today, R is demonstrating respect, E is demonstrating empathy, A is demonstrating accountability, and T is demonstrating trustworthiness.

Reading: SOLs:
 2.12-Write stories, letters, and simple explanations
2.9-read and demonstrate comprehension of nonfiction text

Some friends are not completing the reading assignment on a nightly basis It will be logged the same as last year, and the expectation is that students read 30 minutes. Also, please have them log in two steps and place your signature beside it. On a daily basis, we should have 4 steps. The time may be broken into intervals. PLEASE SIGN READING LOGS NIGHTLY

We are starting to work on our project for the Expo. We will be creating a Little Library at Jones Creek to show empathy to our community with books.  

WE are starting our Jobs Unit this week!!!

Math: Fractions
SOL 2.4: c) compare the unit fractions for halves, fourths, eighths, thirds, and sixths, with models.


Science: We are working on the lifecycle of a plant, butterfly, and White Tail Deer, and habitats!

·      April 26 – “Fancy Friday”  - Wear your fanciest outfit

·               April 12:Spring Egg hunt
·               We will have our Class Egg HUNT on April 12th at 1:30 and eggs should be hid around 1:15ish by the parents. I am placing a letter on Bloomz for volunteers to hide eggs, bring in treats and prizes. Please help the class out! Two more weeks before Spring Break!!!!

WE also have a Relay for Life container in our class for our class to donate money for the cause.
