YMCA Swim Field Trip
Our class will be going to the YMCA for swimming lessons next week from the 8th-11..  We will be leaving school at about 12:30 and returning around 2:30.  Parents are welcome to meet us at the Smithfield YMCA to watch their child’s swimming lessons. The kids will need a clean towel and a bathing suit every day. The YMCA DOES NOT provide towels.  It would be very helpful if you sent your child dressed with their bathing suit under their clothes this week.  We need plastic bags to place their wet clothes in.  Your child will need one every day so they can put their wet bathing suit in it.
Also, I still need volunteers to send in a snack for after swimming.  The previous teachers said that the kids are exhausted and hungry when they return to school.  Please let me know if you can send a snack any day from Tuesday-Friday.  The kids will be hungry after all that swimming.  J Thanks so much!
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT YOUR CHILD CANNOT GO IF YOU DON’T SEND BACK A SIGNED PERMISSION SLIP.

Farm Day Field Trip
All second graders in IWCS will go on a field trip to a working farm on May 3.  Many times in the past, it has been pretty hot on that day.  I recommend that you put sunscreen on your child before they come to school that day.  We will visit different stations on the farm and then we usually have a picnic lunch there.
I will need chaperones for this field trip. So far, Mrs. VanDyke, Mrs. Bosmans, Mrs. Dillon have volunteered to chaperone. I could use a couple more if possible.  Due to the grounds not leveled. I will not be traveling to the different stations but will be in a central location with my cell phone if any chaperone should need it. (I will give have that information on the chaperone list).

Thanks so much for all of your help this year!!!! You are truly rock stars like my students.
