Phonics Story: Wicker School Takes Action (ear, our; ton)

Target Skills: 1) Making judgments, 2) r-controlled ear and our, 3) syllable pattern –ton, 4) suffixes –er, -est, -y,  -ly, -ful, -ful, -less, 5) visualizing

Unit 6 Story 5: City Green (strategy- visualizing; skill-Making Judgments)

We have been working on cursive writing

Math- Intro: 2.18 The student will use data from experiments to predict outcomes when the experiment; patterns

Continue with speed drills in addition and subtraction; continue with multiplication

Social Studies: 2.7 & 2.8- Economics

Homework for the Week:

Monday:  Read for 20 minutes, math sheet, write your words two times

Tuesday:  Read for 20 minutes, math sheet, write your words in ABC order, quiz on resources on Thursday in social studies

Wednesday:  math sheet, study social studies for Resource test- Natural, Human, and Capital resource quiz, take a practice test

Thursday: Read 20 minutes, math sheet, study

Friday; Read a great book! Have  a great long weekend

Please check your child’s agenda each night and initial or sign by the color he/she earns for the day. Also, be sure to look through the red folder on Thursdays

2^nd graders will be having a Fun day picnic on Friday. We will be providing lunch and ice cream sundaes to our classes since we did not go to FARM DAY!!!!!
