Unit 5 Story 5: Let’s Go Dinosaur Tracking (Strategy: Questioning, Skill: Main Idea)

Target Skills: 1) main idea, 2) pattern –ex, 3) story structure and sequence, 4) prefixes un, dis, re, 5) contractions, 6) synonyms (review)

Math- measurement- Review week of math skills: regrouping in addition and subtraction, temperature, time, measurement: liquid, length, calendar, grams, kilograms- 9 weeks test is April 1^st on the computer

Homework

Monday: math sheet, reading log- 20 mins ,write words two times each

Tuesday:  read 20 mins and sign reading log, Study for Math test,  ABC order, bring eggs for egg hunt

Wednesday:  Read for 20 minutes, take a practice test on your spelling words, study for Test on Plants Thursday, reread “Let’s go Dinosaur Tracking

Thursday:  Read for 20 minutes, Science test, reading test

Friday: Test on The Jellyfish, spelling test, Lemonade War book finale in the cafeteria

Friday: Read a great book- Enjoy your spring break

Please check your child’s agenda each night and initial or sign by the color he/she earns for the day. Also, be sure to look through the red folder on Tuesdays(sometimes Wednesdays)

Egg hunt Details:

We have Mrs. Dickerson, Mrs. Neff, and Mrs. Prince signed up to hide eggs with other parents from Saunders and Harris’ classes. Please be here by 9:00 to hide.

***** please send in a small treat for the eggs. We will not be hiding stuffed eggs but will share the goodies in class.

Snacks: Tristan Z- juice boxes, Jamal- chips, Alaia- pretzels or popcorn, Tristan P- cupcakes, Max N- rice krispy treats, plates? A parent signed up but can not read the signature=(,
