PALS Testing
This week we will begin our mid-year PALS Testing.  PALS stands for Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening.  Each student will be given a spelling test to demonstrate their knowledge of how letters and sounds are put together to form words.  Then students will be given an assessment to test their sight word automaticity.  The final part of this testing will be an assessment that tests their reading fluency and comprehension.  Once this testing is complete, an analysis of your child's results will be sent home, and requests for conferences can be made at that time.
