Homework  11/3-11/7- 2nd 9 weeks starts 11/3/14
High Frequency Words: why, knew,animals, before, between
Sold, soap, owe, woke, below, coat, everywhere
SKILLS: plurals –long o:o, oa, ow, oe 2) graphic sources, 3) compound words, 4) ask and answer questions, 5) irregular plural nouns, 6) context skills
Stories of the week: The Old Gollywampus (phonic story) and Snakes Unit 2 Story 4
History- 2.2 Lives and contribution of American Indians- Powhatan, Lakota, and Pueblo
Math- Rounding( this is a very hard skill for 2nd graders) I will be sending websites to review at home with your child

Monday:  Read for 20 minutes (AR book)and sign reading log.  Math sheet, study IN  notes for history, write your spelling words 2 times each, reading sheet
Tuesday:  Read for 20 minutes and sign reading log, math sheet, and study history IN notes, abc order in spelling, reading sheet
Wednesday:  Read for 20 minutes., study History IN , math sheet,study spelling words for pretest, reading sheet
Thursday:  Read for 20 minutes, study math notes for test , study science notes, reread the story, Two Mice and Fury Mouse for reading test
Friday: Enjoy your weekend!

Resources this week: computer, music, P.E, Guidance, Library
       Please check your child’s agenda each night and initial or sign by the color he/she earns for the day. Also, be sure to look through the red folder on Mondays to sign graded papers sheet and clean out. Please keep all social studies test and science test for nine weeks test in their social studies or science IN notebook
